Why Choose Us

Kent’s Trusted Stansted Minibus Service

Stansted is one of the busiest airports for low-cost European flights, and getting a group there from Kent means navigating the Dartford Crossing, the M25, and then the M11 northbound. Our drivers know this route inside out, and we price it transparently — one fixed fare that covers everything.

Whether you’re flying with Ryanair from the east stand or easyJet from the main terminal, we drop you at the right entrance. No shared shuttles, no waiting for other passengers — your vehicle, your group, your schedule.

  • Fixed price — the same whether traffic is light or heavy
  • Direct pickup from your home or hotel anywhere in Kent
  • Dartford Crossing tolls always included
  • 8, 12 and 16-seater vehicles to match your group size
  • Meet and greet on returns — we wait if your flight is late
  • PSV-licensed operator with DBS-checked, uniformed drivers

Stansted: One Terminal, Simple Drop-Off

Unlike Heathrow with five terminals, Stansted Airport has a single terminal building. This makes drop-off straightforward — we take you to the main departures entrance on the upper level, or to the set-down area directly. On returns, we meet you in the arrivals hall once you come through customs. One terminal means no confusion about which entrance to use — just let us know your airline and we’ll handle the rest.

Route Note: Dartford Crossing Included

Every Kent-to-Stansted journey crosses the Dartford Bridge or Tunnel. The Dart Charge toll is included in every quoted price — you will never be asked to pay it separately at the end of your journey.

The Route

How We Drive from Kent to Stansted

The route from Kent to Stansted is longer than Gatwick but well-served by motorways. We use the M25 orbital to junction 8 or 9, cross the Dartford Bridge, continue north on the M25 to junction 27, then pick up the M11 northbound direct to Stansted’s junction.

West and North Kent

From Dartford, Gravesend, Swanley and surrounding areas, the most efficient route is:

  • North on A2/A282 to Dartford Crossing
  • M25 northbound towards Lakeside
  • Continue M25 to J27 (Epping/Harlow)
  • M11 northbound to Stansted (J8)
  • Total: approximately 75–90 minutes from Dartford

Mid and East Kent

From Maidstone, Chatham, Canterbury, Folkestone and east Kent, we head north to cross the Dartford Bridge, then proceed via M25/M11:

  • A20/M20 or A2/M2 to Dartford
  • Cross Dartford Bridge on M25
  • M25 north to J27, then M11 to Stansted
  • Canterbury allow 100–120 minutes
  • Dover/Margate allow 115–135 minutes

Is Stansted further from Kent than Gatwick?
For most of Kent, yes — Stansted is to the north of London while Gatwick is to the south-west. From Dartford, Gatwick is roughly 45 miles via the M25/M23, while Stansted is around 75 miles via the M25/M11 in the opposite direction. For east Kent (Canterbury, Dover, Margate), the gap is slightly smaller because you’re already heading north, but Stansted is still typically 20–30 miles further. This difference is reflected in our pricing.

Terminal Information

Stansted Airport: One Terminal, Two Piers

Stansted has a single main terminal building, which makes things straightforward compared to multi-terminal airports. However, the terminal does use a satellite building (The Satellite) reached by an underground transit, so it’s worth knowing which pier your gate is in.

Main Terminal — All Departures

Check-in and security for all airlines are in the main terminal on the upper level. Drop-off is on the upper level forecourt at the Departures entrance. We will take you directly here.

  • Ryanair — largest operator at Stansted
  • easyJet — substantial operation from Stansted
  • Jet2 — holiday and leisure routes
  • Wizz Air — Central and Eastern Europe
  • TUI — package holiday flights
  • Flybe — UK domestic and short-haul

The Satellite Building

After security, some gates are in the Satellite building reached by underground train. This does not affect your drop-off — all passengers check in at the main terminal. Once airside, the transit to the Satellite is quick and well-signposted.

  • Gates in the Satellite are reached post-security
  • No extra steps needed at drop-off
  • Just check your boarding pass for the gate number
  • Allow a few extra minutes if your gate is in the Satellite

Is a minibus cheaper than individual taxis to Stansted from Kent?
Almost always, yes — especially for groups of six or more. Individual taxi costs from Canterbury to Stansted would typically run £80–£120 per car. With six people sharing an 8-seater minibus at £185, that’s under £31 per person. With sixteen people in a 16-seater at £250, that’s just over £15 per person. The more people in your group, the better value a minibus becomes — and you all arrive together rather than in separate vehicles at different times.

What Kent Passengers Say

★★★★★

12-seater from Margate for a Ryanair stag trip to Dublin. Driver was brilliant — picked us up at 3am without a single complaint. Everyone arrived at Stansted relaxed and on time. Highly recommend for large groups.

Our flight back from Malaga was delayed two hours. Driver tracked it and was waiting in arrivals with our name on a board — no extra charge. After a long journey that kind of reliability makes a huge difference.

Frequently Asked Questions

Stansted Minibus — Common Questions

How long does it take to get from Kent to Stansted Airport? ⌄
Journey times depend on your pickup location and M25 traffic. From Dartford allow around 75–90 minutes, Maidstone 85–100 minutes, Canterbury 100–120 minutes, and Dover 115–135 minutes. Stansted is north of London, so the M25 and M11 are the key routes — we always advise a generous buffer for Dartford Crossing and M25 traffic and will suggest the right pickup time when you book.
Is the Dartford Crossing toll included in the price? ⌄
Yes, always. Every Kent-to-Stansted journey crosses the Dartford Bridge or Tunnel via the Dart Charge. This toll is included in every quoted price — you will never be presented with it as an extra at the end of your journey. What we quote is what you pay.
Can you do very early morning pickups for Stansted? ⌄
Yes — we operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with no unsociable hours surcharge. Ryanair and easyJet are known for early departure times from Stansted, and we regularly do 03:00 and 04:00 pickups from east Kent. The price is exactly the same as a midday pickup.
What happens if my return flight from Stansted is delayed? ⌄
We monitor your inbound flight in real time. If it is delayed we adjust the pickup time accordingly and wait at no extra charge. Your driver will be in the arrivals hall at Stansted’s single terminal with a name board when you come through. Stansted having one terminal makes this straightforward — there is only one arrivals hall to meet you in.
Does Stansted have a ULEZ or clean air zone charge? ⌄
Stansted Airport is in Essex, well outside the London ULEZ and Congestion Charge zones. Our vehicles are ULEZ-compliant in any case. The route from Kent uses the M25 and M11, which bypass central London entirely, so there are no additional zone charges on top of your quoted price.
How much luggage can we bring to Stansted? ⌄
Our 8-seater handles standard cabin and hold luggage for up to 8 passengers. If you have oversized items (golf bags, surfboards, ski equipment, pushchairs), please let us know when booking so we can confirm the right vehicle. Our 12 and 16-seater vehicles have generous luggage space suited to longer holidays. Stansted is popular for package holidays, so large bags are common — just tell us and we’ll accommodate you.
